Pilate's House
The house of Pilate is located near the Calvary and include the shrine of Ecce Homo.

When Ponzio Pilate went to Jerusalem during the Paschal usually lived into the Praetorian Palace who was located inside the Antonia's Fortress. It has been the place where Jesus has been flagellate and crowned by thorns.
Ecce Homo
Situated externally at the Pilate's house there is the shrine of Ecce Homo. Here is represented the moment when Pilate present Jesus to the crowd and says: "Ecce Homo!" (Here is the man!).
Also here together with the statuary group there is a marvellous fresco that argue an high artistic expertise by the artists of those years. A particular that is important to note is the characters clothing that follow the typical folk traditions of XVI century.
Below the shrine of Ecce Homo, since 1900, there where the prison with the statue of Barabba that probably it has been damaged or stolen.
