Today, the complex of the Holy Mount of San Vivaldo with the Church and the Monastery, is a part of the municipality of Montaione, which town - a pleasant vollage with its 3500 inhabitants - is only few kilometres far from the Jerusalem of Tuscany.

From April 1 to October 31 chapels of Holy Mount of San Vivaldo will be open during the following hours:
Working days: from 15:00 to 19.00
Holidays and Sundays from 10:00 to 19.00
From November 1 to March 31 you can visit the Holy Mount of San Vivaldo and chapels every day from 14:00 to 17:00.
The cost of the ticket, that you can buy directly on the spot, included a guided tour is only 3.50 euro. If you are a group you can book a visit to the Cultural Office of the City of Montaione, phone 0571/699267 or 0571/699252 from Monday to Saturday from 9.00 to 13.00.

Getting there
To get to the Jerusalem of Tuscany, is necessary to follow signs for Montaione and from here to San Vivaldo that is situated on the road from Montaione to San Gimignano and near to Montignoso (where is another beautiful Monastery) and the village of Il Castagno.
Precisely, from Montaione, follow the signs for San Vivaldo and passed the crossroads for Castelfalfi, and go ahead for 200 meters to the crossroads for Iano. Than, turn left for the Monastery of San Vivaldo recognizable by the Ascension Chapel on the road.
Get to Montaione it's very easy, thank to a wide range of roads that connect this charming village in the heart of Tuscany to the most important cities of art and airports like in Florence and Pisa.
